Jailbreak: PageNames - Give Your SpringBoard Pages A Name

July 12, 2011
If folders aren't good enough for you, consider downloading PageNames - a new jailbreak tweak that allows users to name their iPhone's Home screen pages. As Jeff of iPhone Download Blog notes, the tweak, which was developed as part of the TweakWeek initiative, is available to download for free in Cydia (provided users have added Ryan Petrich's repository - more on that below). Once installed, users will have the option of naming their Home screen pages: Names appear above the page (as you can see in the above image), and can easily be altered or removed. In order to edit the names of your Home screen pages, simply enter "wiggly mode" (by holding down an app for two seconds), and touch the page name to open up the iPhone's virtual keyboard. Here you can alter the default text, replacing it with your own. As mentioned, iPhone owners wishing to download this tweak will need to first add Ryan Petrich's repository to Cydia. The repository's URL is: "http://rpetri.ch/repo." Take a look at PageNames, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
