New Powerful Rare Gems Await To Be Harvested In The Latest Bejeweled 2 + Blitz For iPhone

July 7, 2011
PopCap has hidden a few new gems around the Blitz realm for players to find, harvest, and share these shiny treasures with their Facebook friends. To be the recipient of one of these shimmering wonders, you must first get the latest Bejeweled 2 + Blitz from the App Store. The rare gems included in Bejeweled 2 + Blitz v1.5.3 consist of the: • Moonstone: Unleash the power of three Star gems at the beginning of your game. • Cat’s Eye: Enjoy massive laser explosions, mega point bonuses — and a cat! • Phoenix Prism: Match up to 6 of these wildcard gems to create fiery cascades and burn through your leaderboards To be honest, it isn't so much finding these gems as simply happening to come across one. They'll be presented at the Boost purchase screen at random. Do remember, these are rare and won't appear often. When you do finally get offered one, make sure you have enough conns to harvest it, or you'll need to pass it up. The harvested gem will be available on the very next game, as something of a fourth Boost. Since a gems is only available for a single game, hopefully, you can use it wisely. Since they are tough to come by, you can offer them up to your friends through a Facebook wall post. For example, sharing the Moonstone I found allowed the first 10 friends to redeem it a chance to give that remarkable prize a try without waiting to find it themselves. As an important note, some have reported app launch crashing after applying this update. One of my iDevices had this issue, but I was able to fix it by deleting the app and doing a fresh install of the latest version. Doing a fresh install of the app should not affect your Blitz data, because it is stored on the server. Another option is to update the app on your iDevice but do not update the copy stored in your iTunes library. In that case, returning to the previous version involves first deleting the new version on your iDevice and then connecting your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer, allowing iTunes to sync the previous version stored in your iTunes library. However, if you don't feel comfortable, you can be patient for a possible maintenance update to correct this issue. Bejeweled 2 + Blitz is designed for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later, and available in the App Store for $.99.
