Zipments is an interesting service that allows anyone to earn cash as a courier. The premise is simple: Somebody who needs something delivered posts a job online, a price is set and the delivery is made. With the recently released Zipments iPhone app, couriers can managed all of their existing tasks and even sign-up for new ones all from an iPhone handset.
I had never heard about Zipments until I saw the application bounce into the App Store, and I have to say: I'm impressed. The service allows anyone to make some extra cash on the side, and provides a courier service with-a-difference for those who need it. With the iPhone app, couriers can manage their Zipments on-the-go.
As outlined in the app's release notes:
With the Zipments mobile app, couriers can find new Zipment job postings, bid on them, and track their existing jobs. It also features the ability to bring up routes to and from job points using maps.Furthermore, users of the application can quickly and easily contact their customers if a problem is encountered. Oh, and did we mentioned it's available to download for free, too?
