Bandito: Music News Based On Your iTunes Library

August 3, 2011
A new iPhone application has just hit the App Store, which provides users with music news based on the contents of their iPod app's library. The app, Bandito, is available to download for free, though a $1.99 in-app purchase expands the app's capabilities. Once you've downloaded and launched the application, Bandito will scan the music already loaded onto your iPhone and compile a list. Once compiled, the application will then source news articles on the listed artists, and display them within the application. The free version of Bandito displays 10 articles only, however for $1.99 (paid via an in-app purchase) this limit can be removed. As outlined in the app's release notes:
You can update the list by re-ordering, starring and un-starring your favorite artists, and by hitting “Refresh Artists” if you’ve added new music to your phone.
Furthermore, a "Hotlist" displays a list of "popular and breaking" artists, which users can learn about if they wish. For more information, take a look at Bandito in the App Store and download it now. As mentioned, the app is free to try in a limited form, though a $1.99 in-app purchase can remove these limitations.
