Blast Your Way To Victory In TankForce!
TankForce! (Free) by Guangzhou Duoyi Network Technology Co.,Ltd. is an arcade game with a very simple objective. You control a tank and must destroy all other tanks on the map.
There are obstacles to navigate around or simply destroy such as traffic cones or rocks. Sometimes there is the extra objective of defending your headquarters.
You are able to collect gold coins during gameplay which allows for the purchase of better and stronger tanks, but the primary means of upgrading your current tank comes from the lottery.
After each round, if you haven’t died, you will have access to the lottery where you are shown a deck of cards. Each card receives an upgrade like extra health or a bonus ability such as rockets, a freezing shot or a remote detonation bomb.
The card’s upgrades are initially visible and you have the option of spending $30 to remove one of them if you don’t want the chance of getting that upgrade. When you’re ready, the cards are all turned over and shuffled. You then blindly pick a card and receive the corresponding upgrade. You are allowed to have two active bonuses (i.e. a weapon) and two passive bonuses at once (extra health, armor or shield etc.).
There are also temporary boosts which you can pick up while riding your tank around. Examples include a double shot for double damage and an increase in your speed.
There are three methods to control the tank; a joystick, screen tilt and screen tap. The graphics are not impressive and the maps tend to be small and static.
Don’t expect anything elaborate in this game; there are much better options on the App Store if you’re really into good games.
However, the game does offer 105 levels, so if you like simple apps to pass the time, you might consider TankForce an option.
