September 15, 2011
Apple's digital e-book store, the iBookstore, now has its own Twitter account. The account, @iBookstore, is verified as belonging to Apple, and promises to tweet information on "featured books, exclusive offers and more" on a regular basis. The account's first tweet was posted yesterday, and read:
Welcome to the Apple #iBookstore on Twitter. Follow us to discover new releases, exclusive book offers, and more.
Since, a further six updates have been posted from the @iBookstore Twitter account, detailing the various e-books and special offers available to users of Apple's digital book store. Apple and Twitter already have a great relationship, with the App Store having its own Twitter account and iOS devices gaining Twitter integration in iOS 5. If you're a fan of the iBookstore, take a look at the official @iBookstore Twitter account now. And also remember to download your free copy of iBooks in the iOS App Store. [via MacRumors]
