Parallels Mobile Updated: Makes A Few Changes, Improves Performance

September 2, 2011
A recent update to Parallels Mobile has made several changes to the application, including improving the app's performance and stability. Furthermore, the universal application is now available to download for just $4.99 (for a limited time only). As outlined in the app's release notes, new features and fixes include:
  • enable you to control your Mac just like you control your virtual machine
  • add sound support: now you can play back music and audio files remotely from your virtual machine
  • enable you to copy and paste text between your mobile device and virtual machine
  • allow you to set Parallels Mobile to connect to your Mac and virtual machines only when Wi-Fi connection is available
  • improve support for external displays and keyboards
The app allows users to remotely access Mac and Windows applications running in Parallels Desktop for Mac while on the go (access to Mac apps requires Parallels Desktop 7). Furthermore, it's possible to connect to the desktop version of the software via Wi-Fi or 3G. Currently, Parallels Mobile is available to download for $4.99. However, the app's price will soon increase to $19.99 - if you're considering purchasing this app, we suggest you do so A.S.A.P. before its price rockets!
