Peggle For iPhone Finally Joins Apple's Social Gaming Network

With the release of Peggle HD for iPad last month, PopCap finally introduced the extremely popular puzzle game to Apple's online social gaming network. The iPhone and iPod touch version played a little catchup Thursday with the release of Peggle v1.6, integrating Game Center achievements and fixing a few bugs.
Alongside completing both campaigns, in-game challenges, and working to best your own previous high scores, you can compete against your friends to earn all 29 achievements first. The achievements total 110 points, and mainly focus on completing every portion of the game. The update also corrects an issue with iPad Compatibility Mode and playing through the Adventure a third time.
Since that was taken care of so quickly, I'll mention that Peggle HD was also updated Thursday. Peggle HD v2.0.2 includes:
• Enhanced ball graphics and end of level sound effects
• Miscellaneous bug fixes
Peggle is designed for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later, and available in the App Store for $2.99. Peggle HD is compatible with iPad running iOS 3.2 or later, and available in the App Store for $2.99. Game Center features require iOS 4.1 or later.
