Hop Your Enemies Into Oblivion In Bloody Bunnies
Bloody Bunnies (Free) by Mentalwarp is an arcade game consisting of bunnies running around attempting to best each other.
Enemy bunnies are engaged by jumping on their heads to make them disappear in a cloud of blood. There is an option to make your bunnies cute instead of bloody when starting, if you would rather not deal with blood. It’s not particularly gory though.
The graphics appear somewhat three-dimensional, but you play on a two-dimensional map which has you jumping from one level to the next with ease. There are mailboxes tucked away in the corners which allow you to teleport between the top and bottom. This is very useful for quick escapes.
There are four maps to choose from, each representing one of the different seasons. The seasons have been captured quite well giving a somewhat atmospheric feeling to the game.
The three modes of play to choose from include Carrot Hunt, Deathmatch and Survival. In the first, there are five carrots distributed around the map. You collect them by running or jumping into them and the first to have all five wins. If your opponent seems to be pulling ahead in carrots, just jump on his head to kill him and make him drop all his carrots.
In Deathmatch, you are given a timer instead of carrots and the person with the highest number of kills takes the match. Lastly, Survival mode is just about not dying too many times before you kill off the enemy rabbits.
Bloody Bunnies is great fun. It’s engaging and distracting just as a good game should be. The only real drawback is having only four levels to play on, but it's free so we shouldn’t really complain.
