Snake '97 - The Classic Mobile Game Gets An Update

Both the paid and free versions of the popular Snake '97 universal app have received updates. Now, users of both applications can enjoy Retina optimized graphics, a new user interface and support for the iPhone 3G and second generation iPod touch. Following the updates, the only major difference between the paid and unpaid versions of Snake '97 is the fact that one is ad-supported, and the other is not. As outlined in the free app's release notes, changes made in the latest version include:

• no maximum score anymore!
• optimized graphics
• improved user interface
• iPad support (Snake '97 is now an universal app)
• zoom, scroll and rotate in iPad version
• support for portrait and landscape orientation in iPad version
• support for iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G
• support for iPhone 4 (Verizon)
• added high score sound
• added original button sound (audio feedback on touch controls)
• added the option to turn sound off
• optimized the game engine (uses less memory)
• fixed some bugs
