Updated Twittelator Pro Improves Searching And Once Again Becomes An Interpreter
September 28, 2011
Big Stone Phone released Twittelator Pro v4.9 and Twittelator for iPad v2.1 to the App Store earlier today, both providing performance improvements and an additional feature when searching, plus a fix for tweet translating.
To get it out of the way, I'll quickly mention the translation fix. Today's update once again allows users to translate tweets to their local language. Honestly, I don't run across many tweets that need translating, therefore, I never really noticed it was broken. Anyway, to translate a tweet, tap on the tweet poster's name, then tap on the pair of small flags above the "reply" button when on the iPhone and iPod touch. On the iPad, the translate feature is located under the action menu, available after tapping on a tweet.
Amongst making results faster for both general and trend searches, Twittelator Pro now contains a setting option to display previews of images hosted via Twitter and other supported services to appear within the timeline. Of course, having the feature enabled will slow the search results back down, but at least it's an option. To activate or deactivate, head to the settings area, then enter the "advanced" section, and scroll down until you see "find photos in searches."
Twittelator Free remains at v4.8.1, which included the following changes:
• Upload photos to Twitter Photo Service
• Pictures displayed in Search and Timelines
• Friends and Followers show correctly
• Fixed more crashers
