Verizon Brings Flex View To iDevices

Verizon Brings Flex View To iDevices

September 13, 2011
Verizon has released its new FiOS on Demand app for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. The app lets users purchase, rent, and stream movie content on a number of different devices. Available on Android devices for a while now, Verizon’s FiOS On Demand service (in this case, called Flex View) lets users view content on up to four devices plus Verizon FiOS TV. In other words, when you purchase a movie on one device, it is also available through other FiOS channels. Currently, however, the service is only available for those customers that already own FiOS Internet and FiOS TV service. For those that don't have these services, not being able to use this app isn't really significant. After all, Vudu.com offers a similar service that doesn't require a subscription. Still, its nice to see Verizon offering this to their customers who also own an iDevice. For more information on Flex View, be sure to check out its FAQ page. The free universal FiOS on Demand app is available now in the App Store.
