Apple's New iTunes Movie Trailers App Arrives

Apple has just released a new universal app called iTunes Movie Trailers. The app provides new and and exclusive movie previews all in HD. In addition, the app shows what movies are playing – and when – nearest to you. The free app is divided into five main sections. These include Trailers, Calendar, Top 25, In Theaters, and Favorites. Trailers offer movie previews by genre, or you may use the section’s impressive (and fast) search feature. Calendar shows when upcoming movies are heading to the theaters through August 2012. Best of all, the calendar is entirely interactive and includes links to a movie’s trailer as well as additional information. Top 25 shows the top movies in four separate categories:

• Most Popular Trailers
• Weekend Box Office
• Top Reviewed from Rotten Tomatoes
• iTunes Top Rentals

In Theaters offers an updated timeline showing when movies near you are set to run. You can also purchase tickets directly from you iPad or iPhone. Finally, Favorites is just that - a place to add your favorite movies. The iTunes Movie Trailers app looks amazing. It is available now in the App Store. Requirements: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2, iPod touch (3rd generation), or iPod touch (4th generation) is required. iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch must have iOS 4.3 or later. Syncing with iCloud requires iOS 5 or later and a valid iCloud account. iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with internet access using Wi-Fi or 3G.
