Apple’s Newsstand Arrives

Apple’s Newsstand is officially open for business. The new Store, part of iOS 5, is available through a link in the new Newsstand app that resides on an iDevice’s Home screen.
This news comes just hours after the first Newsstand-enabled apps began popping up in the App Store. These included Wired Magazine, Martha Stewart Living, among others.
First unveiled in June, Newsstand is a new home where all of your magazine and newspaper subscriptions reside. Once these titles become part of Newsstand, they no longer show up as a separate app within iOS. We know, unless you actually have iOS 5, this announcement means absolutely nothing. We're pretty confident iOS 5 will be released very, very soon.
