We were all struck by surprise at the recent passing of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. Many have already paid their last respects to him, as he changed the way we think about technology and the media. Now to thank him and recognize him for his accomplishments California has declared today, October 16, as Steve Jobs Day.
Jerry Brown, Governor of California, announced via Twitter "This Sunday will be Steve Jobs Day in the State of California." This will include an invitation only memorial at Stanford University, where only fellow technology innovators, close friends and family of Mr. Jobs will be attending. Another private memorial will be held on October 19, at the Cupertino, Apple campus.
The king of Silicon Valley will be remembered all over the world, and he will hopefully continue to inspire people everywhere.
