Hanging With Friends Is Freshened Up With A Couple Visual Changes And More
October 15, 2011
If you're a fan of causal turned-based games, it's extremely likely you're a regular player of Zynga's Words With Friends spin-off, Hanging With Friends. Though an already addicting game with very few complaints, Zynga has recently made a handful of minor cosmetic and gameplay improvements to stir things up.
The changes start as soon as you launch the game, in which I mean the "super cute new loading screen!" The other visual enhancement involves the turn replay system. Instead of filling in the letters as the opponent makes a correct letter guess, the entire word is displayed and any correct letter guesses are highlighted in green.
Beyond the beautification efforts, Hanging With Friends and Hanging With Friends Free v4.09 do provide a couple new lifelines. Tune Up will swap your tiles and Conjure will create a magic tile, sort of a "joker." As a reminder, previous lifelines included actions such as Extinguish, highlights four wrong tiles without any strikes, and Revive, removes the previous strike.
If you play against multiple friends at once, you should appreciate the final inclusion in yesterday's Hanging With Friends update. After completing your turn in one game, there is now a "next" button to quickly bring you to another game that requires your attention, thus saving the time of going back to the games list and needing to pick the next game.
