October 7, 2011
A new jailbreak tweak to come to our attention (via iDownloadBlog) is "Safari UniBar," a package that adds a Google Chrome-like OmniBar to Safari for iOS. If you're not familiar with the OmniBar, this handy address bar allows users to navigate to a URL and perform a Google Search from the same place. For many, it's one of Chrome's best features and undoubtedly countless jailbreak fans will be pleased to learn that they can now enjoy the same feature in Safari for iOS. Once installed, the tweak works under-the-hood, and performs a Google Search when text that isn't a URL is entered in the address bar field. The tweak is currently available to download for free in Cydia (via the BigBoss Repository). It's simple, handy and something iPhone owners will undoubtedly appreciate. If you decide to take Safari UniBar for a spin, let us know your thoughts on the free package in the comments.
