Jetpack Joyride Update Adds Two New Jetpacks, Loads Of New Costumes, And Social Features
October 24, 2011
Alright Joyriders, it's time to fire up the App Store app on your iPhone or iPad and check for updates, because you have some new Jetpack Joyride content waiting for you. With Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots out of the way, Halfbrick was able to add two new jetpacks, a bunch of new costumes, and some additional social features to their latest arcade game starring the one and only Barry Steakfries.
Once you have Jetpack Joyride v1.1.5 installed, head to "The Stash" to check out the four new costume sets and two new jetpacks.
The four new costume sets consist of eight separate pieces of content -- head and body -- so hopefully you have a whole bunch of coins saved up. The new costumes allow you to dress Barry up as Sensei from Fruit Ninja, a silver robot, a construction worker, and in royal robes. Barry can also now utilize the Chrome Plated Afterburner jetpack and the Golden Piggy jetpack, but purchasing them will set you back 30,000 and 50,000 coins, respectively.
The update has a couple of new social features as well, including markers within the game that display the high scores of your friends, and the ability to post your scores to Twitter or Facebook, you know, in case you want to brag about your awesome jetpacking skills.
Jetpack Joyride is a universal game that's currently available in the App Store for a $.99.
