Aim Straight With A Steady Hand In Crazy Cannon
Crazy Cannon (Free) by Burletech is an arcade game that has you firing cannon balls at a bunch of barrels from a small and very isolated tropical island.
Aiming the cannon is done by tilting. At first, it’s really not that difficult to hit the target. The ball follows a very straight trajectory allowing you to find your mark the first time nearly every time. If the ball followed a more parabolic path (as physical objects do when launched from the Earth’s surface), it would be a lot more challenging.
The upside is that as you get to higher levels, things are made more difficult by having the barrels further away, making the slight curve in the ball’s path have a greater impact. More significantly though, the platforms that the barrels are sitting on will be moving up and down.
The top left shows the number of barrels you have to knock over for that level; the bottom left shows how many cannon balls you have left to hit them with. It’s not a big deal if you run out. Some barrels are marked with black balls, knocking these ammo barrels over will help to replenish the number of balls you have left to fire by five.
There are other types of barrels such as TNT which explode on impact or poison barrels which remove three balls when hit.
Crazy Cannon can get quite interesting if you’re patient enough to play through the first few levels. If you decide you enjoy it, you can upgrade to the pro version for $0.99 which will remove all ads, allow new skins for balls, and give you an orca friend that randomly swims to the surface.
