Can You Think Far Enough Ahead To Lay The Last Line In DotLand Free?
DotLand Free (Free) by UK Design Centre LLC. is a new creation of the long-standing turn-based puzzle game that has been around for ages. You are presented with a grid of dots which must be connected by a line, one at a time.
Players take turns laying down a line, and the one who lays down the last line that encloses a square will own it, and get the chance to lay down another line immediately. The one with the most squares, when they’re all filled, wins.
Not every possible square can be captured. Only those with a white background are valid targets, but every line that might exist can be made use of. This is useful for delaying too many lines to a square that would allow your opponent to capture it.
As you progress through the levels, you’ll also have randomly placed gems that will increase your overall score when captured, along with the square they’re sitting in.
The free version of DotLand has only 12 levels, but you can purchase the full version for $0.99 which will give additional levels (at least 24 extra), no ads, and a smarter computer-based opponent.
The only major aspect lacking in this game is the ability to play against a friend. Always having to play against the computer limits replayability somewhat.
DotLand Free is a classic game presented here with vibrant colors and progressive gameplay. It has been a long time favorite of puzzle fans and is definitely worth looking into.
