Remove As Many Matching Pairs As Possible In Mahjong Of The Day
Mahjong Of The Day (Free) by Astraware Limited is a solitaire game where tiles, with various shapes and patterns drawn on them, have to be matched up.
The 144 tiles are arranged into various shapes of four layers. If you find two open tiles with the same picture drawn on them or that are from the same set, they can both be removed from the pile and discarded from the game. A tile is said to be open if it can be moved left or right without moving another tile.
The game ends when all 144 tiles have been removed or when there are no more matching open tiles. It’s not difficult to learn and there is a tutorial to get you started.
An overview of the tiles makes them quite small, but you can zoom in on them to make your life easier.
There are many puzzles and additional tile sets to choose from, but most of them are locked. You can buy the full version to unlock all puzzles and tile sets and remove ads for $2.99. Alternatively, you can buy 50 puzzles, or just remove the ads for $0.99 each.
Mahjong Of The Day is based on the computer game released 30 years ago, you can probably find a free version of it on your home computer. It should not be confused with the Chinese game of Mahjong which is a three or four player game and played quite differently.
As such, this is by no means a new game, but it is a popular one. There have been a lot of attempts at creating this type of game and most of them have a free version. Give this one a try!
