Top Camera Gets Another Update - And You Could Win A Copy!
October 25, 2011
One of our favorite all-in-one camera apps, Top Camera, has gotten another great update, with more to come soon! Top Camera, which is available on both the iPhone/iPod touch AND the iPad, helps you make the most of your iDevice’s camera, with features like HDR, Slow Shutter, and a variety of editing features. See our review here.
The newest update focuses on live adjustments. This means that you can now adjust the exposure, contrast, saturation, and temperature before you even shoot a photo!
The developer gave us a list of all the new features:
- added LIVE ADJUSTMENTS: CONTRAST, BRIGHTNESS, SATURATION, TEMPERATURE (it can be disabled in settings)
- enhanced for ios5 (on first launch app will update database for ios5)
- improved compatibility with iPhone 4s
- added "share on Picasa" feature
- thumbnail icon can be set to open Viewer instead of Gallery
- HDR images are marked - in gallery and viewer
- camera interface can be fixed to "portrait" orientation
- after closing editor, app returns to last screen (gallery or viewer)
- faster saving of taken photos (it is 3-4 times faster now)
- saving in Editor works over 2 times faster
- app now works also on devices without camera (old iPop Touch, iPad 1)
- improved quality, speed (2 times faster) and stability in HDR mode
- improved photo rotation in viewer
- fixed problem with "/" in folder names
- improved stability
- fixed bug in Slow Shutter on iPod Touch 4g
- few other minor bugs fixed
So, how would you like to win a copy? Simply comment below, and tell me why you could use an app like this, and also whether you would like the iPad or iPhone version. The developer has given us six copies of each app. If you don’t win, don’t worry -- there is a free version for iPhone (full-featured, but with low resolution), and to top it off, the full versions, normally $2.99, are on sale for just $.99! Contest ends October 26, 3:00 p.m. EDT. Good luck!
