Digital Poke Honors Steve Jobs With A Charitable Donation And Limited Time Sale
November 5, 2011
Countless messages of respect and gratitude have been shared since the death of Steve Jobs last month, but the team at Digital Poke wanted to take a step beyond words as they honored the first month anniversary of Jobs' unfortunate passing by running a sale and donating a portion of profits to charity.
Starting tomorrow, November 5, and lasting through the weekend, Digital Poke will be offering three of their apps for completely free.
• 360 Web Browser - A web browser featuring multi-touch gestures, desktop-style tabbed windows, numerous themes and plugins, and quick access to nearly every control using the innovative Arc wheel. In addition, the download manager allows easy monitoring, sharing, and deleting of files gathered from the Internet, plus keep everything backed up and synchronized by utilizing the Dropbox and Firefox Sync integration.
• Meteoric Video Downloader - A desktop-like download manager for media files right on your iDevice. Download, organize, share, and play nearly any iOS-compatible media file you come across on the Internet. The app features Dropbox and Firefox Sync integration, plus the opportunity to add plugins. Meteoric even provides live streaming of downloaded media files to nearly any web-enabled device.
• Emoji Pro - Perfect for those still running iOS 3 or 4, either by choice or not, who want to spice up their digital communication with more than 450 emoji symbols. Simple to enable and disable, they can be accessed in nearly every app.
Digital Poke isn't only interested in helping the iDevice community with this tribute. Profits gained between October 28 and November 14 from the three previously mentioned apps will be passed along to the United Nations Children's Fund.
What a great idea to honor such a visionary and influential person such as Jobs by helping to change the world in their own small way, right? Feel free to direct your appreciation to @DigitalPoke or their Facebook page.
