IK Multimedia Releases The iPad-Optimized Version Of VocaLive, Their Professional Live Vocal Processing App

Initially releasing it for the iPhone and iPod touch, IK Multimedia continues to help musicians create the most portable but still powerful audio setup ever for both behind and on stage use with the availability of VocaLive for iPad, the first professional live processing and recording application for iOS.
Whether for a live performance or recording something for inclusion in a separate project, VocaLive provides 12 studio quality audio effects and a 4-processor vocal effects chain, whereas the iPhone and iPod touch version allows a 3-processor vocal effects chain. Effects can be changed and modified on-the-fly with realtime output. Set and edit presets and favorite combinations for quick access.
Utilize Pitch Fix for tuning correction or distortion, Choir to create a 3-part harmonizing effect, Morph for "radical gender bending" vocals, and Double -- free by registering -- for an echo-like effect, plus De-Esser, Reverb, Delay, Parametric EQ, Compressor, Chorus, Phazer and Envelope Filter.
The single track recorder allows for easy recording of processed vocals that can be exported and shared via email or to be later imported to another program using the iTunes File Sharing feature. Import your own backing tracks using Wi-Fi, iTunes File Sharing, or even directly from your iPod library. High quality voice cancellation can be used to help create a karaoke-style experience. However, the backing tracks won't interfere with your final recording, and are intended as a way to follow along to custom created instrumental pieces or your favorite songs. An eight track recorder with master effects section is available as an upgrade via a $14.99 in-app purchase.
IK Multimedia even includes a tools section filled with a metronome and vocal warm-up exercises and demos.
Download VocaLive FREE to give the app a test run, or use it as a foundation if you don't think you'll need all of the effects included in the full version. Each additional vocal effect is $4.99, and each studio effect is priced at $2.99.
VocaLive will work with most other microphones, however, IK Multimedia recommends pairing it with the iRig Mic for best performance. The iRig Mic is available from the IK Multimedia Online Store for $59.99.
