Aim For Alien Enemies Overhead And On The Ground To Stay Alive In, Alien: Doodle UFO
Alien : Doodle UFO ($0.99) by Morning Egg Inc. is an arcade game that has you using a slingshot to shoot down alien-looking objects (the UFOs) floating up above. You’ll have to save up some cash to upgrade your slingshot and ammo to better deal with the enemy and its ground cannons.
By pulling back on the slingshot, you’ll be able to control the ammo’s speed and direction. This allows you to shoot down the UFOs, which are all moving at different heights and speeds.
You will also have to destroy cannons when they appear as they will keep shooting at you until they’re destroyed. The incoming enemy fire does damage even if it passes by your slingshot and moves off the screen. Your ammo will not affect enemy ammo. Instead, you will have to give it a quick tap to destroy it.
Make sure to watch out for power-ups floating across the screen. They will have to be tapped too and will offer bonuses such as extra power for your ammo or slowing down time.
Attacking enemy objects will earn you in-game currency, which can be used for the above mentioned upgrades once they’re unlocked by playing enough levels. The new slingshots will give you more power while the new ammo will give you an additional effect on your attack such as being explosive upon impact.
There are over 24 levels available across five different environments in normal mode. You can also enjoy an endless level once it’s unlocked.
At first, Alien: Doodle UFO seems to play like other games of this type, but brings a lot more to the table in levels and upgrades. However, its level of difficulty is perhaps suited to young people as it’s quite easy for the ammo to find its mark. A lite version is available if you’d like to try before you buy.
