Groupem (Free) by The Digital Factory is an arcade puzzle game with flat discs rapidly bouncing around a table. The discs, which come zooming in from the top, need to be grouped together to be removed, as well as increase the amount left on the timer.
By tracing a finger around two or more discs of the same color, you will remove them and accumulate points. If you include any disc of a different color, the grouping won’t count and nothing will happen.
The line you trace out acts as a wall so you can trace slowly if you like and block off discs of the wrong color. You start off with 60 seconds and each time you group at least two discs, you get a second back. The more you remove at once, the more time you’ll get back.
Initially, you have just two colors to deal with, but as you near the end of the timer, you’ll end up with four colors, making the board look very busy and making grouping much harder.
This app is somewhat fun to play, but with no additional modes or levels to play on, it won’t last long. Groupem comes free with advertisements, which can be removed for $0.99.
