Keep A Nuclear Plant Safe In Nukeout Reloaded
Nukeout Reloaded ($0.99) by Tipi Studios is an arcade game where you must protect a nuclear plant from meltdown. You do this by eliminating various incoming enemies and errors arising within the plant itself such as cracks in the buildings.
You are presented with a static view of a simple-looking nuclear plant. As things like skulls and planes come in to collide or as cracks appear, you have to give them a quick tap to get rid of them.
The faster you tap them away, the more points you’ll accumulate.
As you complete each level, you’ll unlock the next and be given a different environment to play in such as a jungle or desert. However, each level is essentially identical: you get the same nuclear plant and the same foes to defeat and problems to overcome.
In Classic Mode, you play through all nine levels sequentially and it is the only way to unlock levels. You get three lives; there appears to be no way to get back lost lives.
In Survival Mode, you can choose which level to play and you will keep going until your very first mistake. No second chances here.
Nukeout is not as interesting as it could be, but is nevertheless engaging. The difficulty is such that you’ll find it takes some work to progress.
