Pufferfish Pachinko (Free) by Paul Lind is an arcade game where you must try to get as many pufferfish past the shark swimming endlessly below you.
You are presented with a row of stationary rocks, and somewhere in the middle is a shrimp instead of a rock.
When you tap the top of the screen, a pufferfish will appear and begin falling downwards, bouncing between the rocks. You can have as many fish falling at a time as you like.
If a fish makes it to the bottom and passes the shark unscathed, you get one point. Each time the fish touches the shrimp, you get two points.
However, if the shark manages to eat a pufferfish, he gets one point and you lose one. When the shark reaches 10, it’s game over.
Play for as long as you can to see how high a score you can achieve.
Unfortunately, there’s not a lot more to this game. There are no additional levels with different arrangements of rocks and shrimp nor any extra obstacles to work around.
Pufferfish Pachinko presents a polished-looking game that could have had the potential to be very entertaining. Unfortunately, there is not enough content for the app to avoid feeling underdeveloped.
