Weather HD v1.6 Supplies More Weather Details To Users, Plus A Holiday Season Reminder

As one of the very first weather apps for the iPad and one taking on a unique perspective, Vimov's Weather HD had a very solid beginning, but that hasn't stopped the developer from adding great new features over the past year-and-a-half. Just yesterday, Weather HD v1.6.3 landed in the App Store, seemingly wrapping up the recent additions of more detailed weather data display options. While v1.6.3 adds sunrise and sunset times to the display settings, the v1.6 updates together provide the ability to show the heat index, wind chill, dew point, and now the sunrise and sunset times as part of the current weather details. Along with the previous options to display the current barometric pressure, current visibility, and today's or tonight's chance of precipitation, these new options can be enabled or disabled individually by tapping on the tools icon, then tapping on Display Settings, and scrolling down to the Data section where each weather detail has an on / off toggle switch. In addition to these latest updates, I'd also like to remind our readers of two former Weather HD items that may have been forgotten. First, I'll direct your attention to the Christmas Edition theme released last December. The Christmas Edition theme changes the weather conditions representation videos to those featuring raining holiday lights, Santa's sleigh soaring across the moonlit sky, a glowing Christmas tree, and so on. As a bonus, the theme also replaces the tools and settings user interface elements with more festive colors and objects. This holiday theme is activated and deactivated at any time by visiting the same Display Settings area discussed earlier. The other reminder is Vimov's no-risk Weather HD Free. This ad-supported version limits the number of stored locations to two and lacks the Christmas Edition theme.
