December 16, 2011
Just in time for the new season, Gameloft has launched Real Soccer 2012 in the App Store. This universal app, which is free to download, offers Retina display quality graphics, new motion-capture-based animations, and several other new additions to the Real Soccer franchise. Some of the new features in Real Soccer 2012 include:

Smarter moves for your teammates and opponents on the field thanks to an improved AI. New effects and cutscenes during the games for an even more TV-like soccer experience. THE OFFICIAL FIFPRO LICENSE Thousands of real players’ names, 350 teams and 14 league championships to play including England, Spain, France, Germany and South America. It looks like Gameloft has put much more work into this than last year's Real Soccer 2011, which we reviewed here. After a few minutes of testing on my iPad 2, I can say that the game looks and plays great. For being a free app, Real Soccer 2012 is definitely worth checking out for any sports fan. Real Soccer 2012 is available for free in the App Store.
