Halfbrick Opens Up An Official Online Store Of Fruit Ninja Merchandise, Including Some Brand New Plushies
December 7, 2011
Fruit Ninja, created by Halfbrick Studios, has continued to be a hit on iOS and other mobile platforms. The game has become so popular, we've already seen t-shirt offerings appear. Even so, the fruit slicing craze is still expanding. Partnering with ToyFoundry, an Internet-based brand merchandise company, Halfbrick has opened up an official online merchandise store, and the first items are adorable Fruit Ninja plush toys.
"With Fruit Ninja's universal success, this partnership just developed naturally," said Phil Larsen, chief marketing officer at Halfbrick. "Our fans are crazy about Fruit Ninja and this is a really fun and charming way to extend the brand outside of games."So, what kind of plushies can you get your hands on? As of now, a cuddly version of Sensei is the only one ready to be immediately shipped to your doorstep. However, a cheerful watermelon is available for pre-order. The scheduled shipping date for "Watermelon" is mid-January of next year. As you can see in the photos above, Sensei is giving a smile and a kind waive whereas Watermelon can be set so that he smiles back at you or left in the fully sliced position. Both are made from "100% all new polyester materials and stuffing." Unfortunately, we do not have details on physical dimensions nor what exactly the "Fruit Ninja Magic Tag" is but we'll keep you informed as details are provided. Sensei is available to purchase for $15.99 and Watermelon is available to pre-order for $14.99 plus shipping charges. The Training Pack, a set of the two, is provided as a convenience and at a tiny savings for anyone who desires both.
