Postmates Mobile - Delivering Items In San Francisco Just Got A Lot Easier

Postmates is a new service that allows iPhone users to have an item delivered quickly and easily, thanks to a recently released dedicated iPhone application. The app, Postmates Mobile, allows users to connect with couriers and bike messengers within San Francisco, Oakland, Emeryville and Berkeley.
As outlined in the application's release notes:
Postmates is an on demand delivery service that connects couriers & bike messengers within a city to anyone who needs to ship anything, from a birthday card to a refrigerator. We provide expert couriers, handling of the shipment, a high level of availability and insurance of all shipped items.The service provides users with same-day deliveries, promising to have items delivered within two hours if the destination is San Francisco, and four hours if the item is being delivered to Oakland, Emeryville or Berkeley. Furthermore, Postmates offers users insurance of up to $150, digital signatures, photo identification of couriers and real-time tracking via a link included in an SMS message or email.
