AppAdvice has once again teamed up with Smappsoft in order to offer you a chance to win one of five promo codes for Chinese 13 Card Poker ($4.99) for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
Chinese 13 Card Poker, or Pusoy, is poker hands but with "showdowns." Each person is dealt thirteen cards to arrange in three hands. Using the thirteen cards in your "pool," create three separate poker hands. The front hand has three cards, and the middle and back hands both use five cards each. Hands must be arranged from weakest to best, from front hand to back hand, or you'll be penalized for a mis-set. Just like with regular poker, winning or losing each hand gains or loses chips. There are two separate scoring methods, 2-4 and 1-6, which determine some bonuses for winning or losing the second and third hands in the showdown. The game awards bonuses for "royalties" and "naturals," specific sets of winning hands.
The game allows up to four players on the same iDevice or peer-to-peer over Bluetooth in local multiplayer mode. Players and connection types can be split amongst local, Bluetooth or AI in any combination. For example, you can have two players on the same iDevice using Pass-n-Play, one connected via Bluetooth, and one AI player. When you don't have anyone to play against locally, hop into Game Center matchmaking to compete against random opponents or friends beyond your neighborhood.
