Microsoft has recently launched its MSN UK iPad application in the UK App Store. The app, which is available to download for free, provides British Apple fans with easy-to-access news that's available to view in a Pulse Reader-like interface.
As outlined in the app's release notes:
The MSN experience is now enhanced on iPad – easily swipe to find your favourite news, sport and entertainment articles and videos. Excited about something you read on MSN for iPad? Just tap and share with your friends on Facebook and Twitter (or e-mail a link to the article). Reading articles on MSN for iPad feels natural, no matter how you hold your iPad – in either portrait or landscape modes. We’ve added popular photo galleries, slideshows and videos to add depth to what you’re browsing. You can even download stories to your iPad for when you’re not connected to a network later. Need to dig deeper on something you just read? We’ve built Bing right into the top of the app for easy searching. Here's a full list of features, again taken from the release notes:
You can view six channels within the application (Entertainment, Lifestyle, Cars, News, Sport and Video), along with a separate section for "Editor's Picks." Touching an item opens it, as you might expect, and a Bing search-bar also allows users to scour the Web for a particular keyword or phrase. Currently, MSN UK is available to download in the UK App Store for free. Take a look at the new iPad app now, and be sure to post your thoughts in the comments. [via Redmond Pie]
