SoundHound Presents: The Top 10 Most Identified Songs Of 2011

January 8, 2012
I’m sure we’ve all used a music discovery app once or twice — after all, apps like Shazam and SoundHound were some of the most popular when the iPhone first came out, and continue to be a big part of our iOS arsenal. In case you haven’t had enough top 10 lists in the past two months, here’s one more:
SoundHound’s Top 10 Most Identified Songs Of 2011 1. “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People 2. “Someone Like You” by Adele 3. “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO 4. “Just Can’t Get Enough” by Black Eyed Peas 5. “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele 6. “Mr. Saxobeat” by Alexandra Stan 7. “Danza Kuduro” by Don Omar & Lucenzo 8. “The Lazy Song” by Bruno Mars 9. “Hello” (Single Edit) by Martin Solveig & Dragonette 10. “Down On Me” (featuring 50 Cent) by Jeremih
The number one song — which was identified using SoundHound 1.25 million times last year — was “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People. Honestly, I’m surprised it wasn’t Adele; but, hey, she was number two on the list … and number five. You can find SoundHound in the App Store for $6.99. Or you can try it completely free, to see if you like it, beforehand. What’s your favorite song of 2011? This is mine. (via RazorianFly)
