Hand Over Your iPad - The Cat Is Bored
The Affection Collection contains three games designed to engage the housebound cat and exercise their natural hunting instinct. Cats with a short attention span? No problem, an in-app sensor determines if the cat is getting bored with one game and automatically switches to another one.
As for the games, KittyRaid lets the kitty defend cheese from spinning and darting mice. If left to themselves the mice start to nibble at the cheese, a practice that any self-respecting feline will not allow.
RollerKitty is a ball of interactive yarn and KittyChef allows your feline to explore cooking by stirring ingredients in a pan. All the games keep score so that the human can appreciate how talented and smart their kitty is.
"It is all about keeping indoor cats stimulated and excited because they have not got that natural environment to go hunting,” Saxton Cameron via "Global Animal."
As we reported last December, this is not the first app created for felines. However, this is the first with anti-boredom technology. While the overall concept is great, we have to wonder how the glass screen of the iPad will hold up under clawed attack. Though we have little doubt that a true cat lover will consider such things as scratches trivial so long as their cat remains happy.
The Affection Collection is available in the App Store and is free, thus there is no excuse for cat owners to deprive their cat of regular iPad time.
