Jailbreak Only: MyAssistant Updated - Adds New Features, Fixes Bugs

February 21, 2012
Jailbreakers - we have some good news. MyAssistant, the popular tweak which expands Siri's functionality, has recently received an update and now boasts a number of new features. Furthermore, a number of bugs have been fixed in the latest version of the tweak (1.1), meaning MyAssistant should be more stable than ever before. The tweak (formerly MySiri) launched in the Cydia Store at the beginning of the month, and is available to download for $0.99. Already, MyAssistant adds a whole load of new features to Siri on a jailbroken iPhone 4S - including the ability to perform Activator actions, adjust settings and even speak custom commands, and engage in custom conversations. However, thanks to an update which recently hit the Cydia Store, MyAssistant users can enjoy a number of new features, including:
  • Download with Siri by saying ‘Download’
  • Open any app with Siri by saying ‘Open app name’
  • Send a tweet with Siri by saying ‘Tweet’
  • Dismiss Siri command
  • Flashlight toggle
  • Added French and German language support
  • Shorter height bar option
  • Fix for ‘I don’t know what you mean by’ error
  • Mic bug fix
  • Custom background fix
There are several Siri-enhancing jailbreak tweaks in the Cydia Store, which aim - like MyAssistant - to expand Siri's functionality. However, it looks like MyAssistant is aiming to be the "one Siri tweak to rule them all," making its $0.99 price tag all the more justifiable. As mentioned, you can grab the new version in the Cydia Store now. MyAssistant is available for $0.99, but if you've alread purchased the tweak, then the update is available for free.
