Match Googly-Eyed Bugs Of The Same Color In Bugly
February 19, 2012
Developed by Applaud, the studio that made Repeeto and Skware, Bugly is a puzzle game where you play against time as you scour the board for chains consisting of at least three bugs of the same color.
Sounds like your typical match three game, right? Think again. Bugly adds a couple of twists to its match three mechanics. One is that you can only tap vertical chains. The other is that you often have to create the chains yourself.
By tapping and rotating the appropriate circles of bugs, you can come up with vertical chains to increase your score as well as replenish your continuously depleting playing time. Clear instructions plus useful gameplay hints are provided, so you're sure to be making colorful chains of bugs in a jiffy. You can also choose to play using plain balls instead of googly-eyed bugs, but where's the fun in that?
Bugly boasts fine graphics and original music and sound effects. It also has support for Game Center leaderboards and achievements, in addition to the locally saved high score. The game is currently designed for the iPhone, but an update to make it compatible with the iPad as well is already in the works. Bugly is available now in the App Store for only $0.99.
