In a move that is sure to spread across the country, Moore College of Art & Design, has become the first art and design college to partner with Apple by offering a free iPad 2 to students. Starting in the fall of 2012, Moore will provide each new BFA student their own iPad 2 preloaded with apps to support the visual art and design education program. According to the Moore College website, The goal is to enhance the learning experience and work in tandem with new technology. The apps that will be preloaded have yet to be announced. "Faculty at Moore are committed to educating students for contemporary careers in art and design, the iPad 2 will be a pivotal learning tool" stated Academic Dean Dona Lantz.
