Test Your Fly-Zapping Skills With This Line-Drawing Game
February 22, 2012
The first ever game to be released by Blacktorch Games, Don't Fry The Frog features lots of flies and, of course, the titular frog. The name of the game itself dictates the gameplay: Don't fry the frog! Fry the flies instead.
Designed for both iPhone and iPad, Don't Fry The Frog is played using the multi-touch capabilities of the iOS platform. By touching any two points of the screen with your fingers, you can create a line of live current with which to zap the flies. Remember to zap only the bad flies, though, so that only the healthy ones are left for your hungry frog to eat. The bad flies, by the way, have different abilities, including the ability to explode into balls of fire and the ability to turn your frog into ice. Watch the trailer below for a brief look at these flies and more.

The game has an in-app store of sorts called Zeke's Hopshop. There you can purchase new fly abilities and beams, as well as tools for your frog, using the fly pennies that you've earned while playing. The game also has Twitter and Facebook connectivity, so you can brag about your leapfrogging score to your online friends.
Don't Fry The Frog will be available for free in the App Store beginning tomorrow, Feb. 23.
