Glmps, The Photo/Video App Gains Update

March 7, 2012
Between a photo and a video is something called a glmp. Now, the folks behind the glmps app for the iPhone/iPod touch have released Version 2.1 of their popular app. The new version features an all-new user experience and integration with other apps. First released in August 2011, gimps allows you to share your life through video, one photo at a time. Once captured, moments are easily shared via Facebook, Twitter, foursquare, Tumblr, text message or email. The new version includes integrations with Instagram, Foodspotting, Camera+, DropBox, Posterous, among other services. Says Paul Robinett, founder and CEO, glmps:
We're big fans of photo apps like Instagram and Camera+, and we wanted to make it easier for our users to share the moments of their lives out to more services from within the glmps app. Now we share directly to Instagram and Camera+, as well as Foodspotting, Dropbox, Evernote, and more. This means users now have the option to add a filter using their favorite services, or store photos taken from the glmps app in the cloud.”
Glmps 2.1 also features several privacy enhancements based on early feedback from users who wanted more control over how and with whom they shared their favorite moments. Now, users can select “private” or “public” before uploading their glmpses. Other new features include the ability to edit or delete titles and comments, clickable hashtags for easier sorting, a grid view of nearby glmpses, content search, and clickable URLs in the title and comments.
