Netflix Announces Enhanced Integration With Apple TV, iTunes

March 7, 2012
Netflix made some news of its own today, right after the announcement of the new Apple TV. While users of the new Apple TV will be able to stream Netflix in 1080p video and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, the company also announced enhanced iTunes integration. Users can now sign up for the service directly on the Apple TV and pay via an iTunes account instead of a credit card. The service will be enabled for current Apple TV owners via a software update and will come standard on the new edition. With Netflix taking some hits after the failed Qwikster fiasco, this enhanced integration should help the company sign up more users to its higher-profit streaming service.
