PicFrame Update Frames Your Photos In Picture-Perfect Retina iPad Graphics
March 27, 2012
Many developers, bless their hearts, are still in a flurry of activity as they work towards rendering their apps' assets fit for the new iPad's Retina display. One developer which can now breathe a sigh of relief following the completion and approval of its Retina-ready app update is ActiveDevelopment. ActiveDevelopment is the maker of the popular photo editing app PicFrame, which was recently updated to display Retina graphics. As it should, since for an app that essentially deals with images, high-resolution graphics actually matter.
Aside from adding support for the new iPad's Retina technology, the latest PicFrame update also adds several adjustment options to make your photo framing and collage making more convenient. PicFrame now lets you work with up to six photos in a frame and lets you choose from 26 new frames, bringing the number of available frames to an impressive total of 60. A new ratio option, 2:3, has also been added. Sharing options have been made more visible, saving resolution options have been augmented, and the interface for labels add-on has been improved as well. The update also introduces built-in iOS Twitter integration and location-based translations for users in the Japanese and Chinese regions.
PicFrame is available for iPhone as well as iPad and is priced at only $0.99 in the App Store. With this fresh Retina iPad update, those adjustable frames and rounded photo corners will never look the same again.
