Quotes Folder Gets A Big Update, Plus A Chance To Win!
Last year, I reviewed Quotes Folder for you guys. I liked the app overall, as it was a great way to find some great, famous quotes, and even some others that you may not have heard of.
Recently, the app got an update (to version 3.0) that provides some nice new features. The biggest is that you can now add, edit, and delete your own personal quotes. When you add a new personal quote, you can provide the Author name, a link, and the quote. This was one of my main concerns when I reviewed the app, so I am very glad to see that this feature is added in the new version.
In addition to that, there is now a Quote of the Day feature – great for getting your daily dose of inspiration and starting the day off right. Random Quote also can store your last 100 quotes, in case you want to go back to them and save them.
iCloud is now a feature, so that all of your favorites and personal quotes are accessible from all of your devices. This is fantastic, and a great way to keep all of those important quotes with you at all times.
If you haven’t checked it out yet, I’d recommend this app if you want a well-rounded quotes app.
Here’s the full change log:
- Personal Quotes: add/edit/delete your personal quotes
- Quote of the Day: daily notification with a random quote (fully configurable)
- Gestures: left/right swipes to scroll through quotes, double tap for random quote, two fingers double tap for wiki page
- iOS 5 iCloud®: favorites and personal quotes are now saved to iCloud® and synced to all your iOS devices (requires Internet connection)
- Random Quote: now the app keeps temporarily in memory the last 100 random quotes
- Interface enhancements
