Readdle Updates Their Google Calendar App With Zoom And Additional Privacy Options
March 5, 2012
In Calendars v3.0, Readdle introduced a more streamlined user interface, custom keyboards, and other enhancements. Released earlier today, v3.0.2 continues to improve the experience with zoom functionality and privacy options for tasks.
To help users more quickly and easily view tasks for only a select few days, Readdle now allows the standard zoom gestures in month view for all iDevices. Zooming in allows more details to be displayed for each task, thus offering less necessity to change views and even easier selection. Along with the two finger expand to zoom in and two finger pinch to zoom out motions, you can use a two finger drag action to pan around while zoomed.
The second new feature in this latest version is task privacy. Previously, it was possible to keep your calendars private or share them with others with a subscription-type action. Now, Readdle has implemented the per task privacy option that enables a user to privatize tasks even if the calendar is public.
In addition, Calendars v3.0.2 makes corrections to the following areas:
- Sticky keys on the keyboard
- Tasks and events are shown in correct time order in Week View on the iPhone
- Search result events are sorted by time
- Custom repeat options
- Crash while picking contacts
- Creating non-all day recurring events in GMT timezone
