Ubisoft's survival horror game, I Am Alive, launched on Xbox Live Arcade March 7 and is coming soon to the PlayStation Store. Whether you're still considering the purchase or already acquired a copy, your next step should be to download the recently released I Am Alive companion app for iOS that's packed with exclusive content and useful tips. Simply titled I Am Alive Companion, this official app provides very handy information that will help you survive the post-apocalyptic challenges and complete your goals. In addition, Ubisoft has included some exclusive content for you to enjoy, such as an original soundtrack and concept art, when not battling for the essentials of life from other survivors. The Survival Guide includes a street map with locations you can tap to identify and get a brief description on how they relate to your journey, an achievements and trophies list, and the backpack list. The backpack list includes the many supplies you'll come across and the important details for each. Looking over and referring back to the backpack list will inform you of item effectiveness and assist in rationing priorities In terms of media, I Am Alive Companion contains 25 screenshots, 11 pieces of artwork, a never released before original soundtrack with six acoustic audio tracks, and five videos: game trailer, behind-the-scenes documentary and interviews, and three survivor tapes. Of course, Ubisoft has a section highlighting game features and the story, but there is one other feature that isn't about tips, tricks, and data. Titled as just "Photo" on the main menu, this entertainment feature allows you to take a photo or select one from your photo library and apply one of four effects that will make it appear as if your subject is a survivor of the same apocalyptic horrors that have befallen Haventon. These tattered, foggy, smoggy, photos can be stored in the gallery or shared via your Facebook wall. I Am Alive Companion is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, 32GB and 64GB third generation iPod touch, fourth generation iPod touch and newer running iOS 4.3 or later, and available in the App Store as a free download.
