Save The Balloon Flies Up Towards The iClouds
March 25, 2012
Having experienced childhood, you probably know all too well the particular sadness of losing a balloon. A new iOS game called Save The Balloon is about to remind you of that feeling and, at the same time, give you the chance to reclaim the joy of having a balloon by saving one.
The story of Save The Balloon begins at an amusement park, where a boy and his mom go for a visit. The boy persuades her mom to buy him a balloon. But upon seeing the Ferris wheel, he turns his attention to the ride and away from his balloon. Before he knows it, the balloon has flown away into the nearby mountains. It's up to you, then, to help the boy and his mom to save the balloon.
Save The Balloon is a vertical scroller in which you tap buttons made in the likeness of the disembodied heads of the boy and his mom in order to control the balloon's path. Pressing the boy's head on the left side of the screen or the mom's on the right blows the balloon in the opposite direction. As the balloon makes its ascent, several animals and obstructions need to be avoided for the balloon to stay inflated, while power-ups may be collected for some extra help. Preview the gameplay and listen to a sampling of the game soundtrack in the video below.

Supporting iCloud game progress syncing, Save The Balloon features four mountains with 15 levels each: Rocky Mountain, Snowy Mountain, Canyon Mountain and Jungly Mountain. A free lite version of the game lets you play the levels in just the first mountain. If you like to play all levels in all mountains, you can download the full version of Save The Balloon for $0.99.
