The ClashMobs are coming. After teasing the new social feature for what seems like forever, an update to the popular Infinity Blade II will be released next week that features the new mode.
TouchArcade points to an IGN Wireless preview of the new game feature. And get ready for lots of fighting. Available from the game's main menu, you and thousands of other game players battle a mega-monster to receive money, gems or other exclusive loot.
If a player fails, there will be ClashMobs kicking off on a daily basis.
There are also some social aspects built into the feature. The more connected friends a user has participating in ClashMobs, the better benefits they'll be eligible to earn.
Along with the ClashMob feature, the game update will contain 24 pieces of new equipment, a redesigned gem interface to allow for easier swapping, and a gem forge feature to make more powerful stones.
Originally released late last year, Infinity Blade II is the follow-up to Chair Entertainment Group's original sword fighting game, Infinity Blade. If you're unfamiliar with the game, read our own Christine Chan's take.
The game is a universal app and can be purchased for $6.99 in the App Store. The update will go live next Thursday.
Are you excited about the new Infinity Blade II feature? It sounds like a blast, and I'm interested to try it out and see how it works.
