Jailbreak Only: FastLock - Adds Useful Shortcuts To Lock Screen

FastLock ($0.99) is a new jailbreak tweak that can add a number of handy shortcuts to users' Lock Screen. Once downloaded and installed, a series of actions can be performed from the Lock Screen simply after double-pressing the Home button. As you can see in the above image, the tweak has been well designed and looks like something we could imagine Apple developing. After purchasing FastLock for $0.99 in the Cydia Store, the following shortcuts are revealed on the Lock Screen after the user as double-pressed the Home button:

• Place a call
• Send a message
• Send an email
• Tweet
• Add a contact
• Add a note
• Set an alarm or timer
• Take a photo

Each action sits alongside the relevant application icon, and touching the icon or the text opens that particular application. The only problem with FastLock is that its Twitter update shortcut causes the tweak to crash, according to Jeff of iDownloadBlog. This could just be affecting his particular device, but it is something to note before spending $0.99 on FastLock. Hopefully the tweak's developer will have this problem sorted in the near future.
