Jailbreak Only: SMS Timestamps - Add Timestamps To Every Message On Your iPhone

April 7, 2012
A brand-new jailbreak tweak promises to make messaging via Apple's built-in Messages app a whole lot easier. Once installed, users can have the application add timestamps to every message sent and received, meaning you'll be able to more accurately track messages (and know if an iMessage, for example, hasn't quite been delivered on time). Already, the Messages app adds timestamps to SMS messages and iMessages. However, there's a timeframe which means immediate replies (and outgoing messages to the same person) are not timestamped. This, for some, can be a problem. The reason why SMS Timestamps is helpful is because the jailbreak tweak can add timestamps to every message sent and received in the Messages application - even ones that are immediate replies. You can, if you wish, define a timeframe for SMS Timestamps (e.g., within every minute, five minutes or 10 minutes), or you can choose to have a timestamp stamped onto every message that comes in or goes out of the Messages app - which is the option I would recommend. Below, we've included a video walkthrough of SMS Timestamps (provided by iDownloadBlog). Check it out, and if you're interested in downloading the jailbreak tweak, you can find it in the Cydia Store free of charge. Enjoy!
